iServe Plus Setup

Getting Started

iServe Plus with FreedomPay combines the functionality of iServe with the capability to accept card payments directly on All in One Android devices. This reduces the need for a secondary payment terminal during order & pay at table scenarios, meaning in addition to existing ordering functionality, merchants can now process payments within a single device. iServe Plus with FreedomPay uses NFC technology to enable customers to make secure, quick transactions by tapping their contactless-enabled cards, smartphones, or wearables against the device. Additionally, customers can use chip and pin, and swipe payment methods.

What's Supported

Payments

  • Contactless Card Payments

  • Chip & PIN Payments

  • Swipe Card Payments

  • Contactless Payments from supported Wallets - Apple Pay / Google Pay

  • Payments can be split by custom amount

  • Payments can be split by X number of guests

    For example a total of £15.00 could be split between 3 guests each paying £5.00 with their own tips

Tipping

  • Add a tip using the Suggested Tip amounts set in Aztec | Theme Modelling

  • Input custom tip amount

Receipt Printing

  • Print merchant copy from the device with built in printer (if configured to print in Aztec)

  • Print customer copy from the device with built in printer

  • Print merchant copy from the device to an Aztec printer

  • Print customer copy from the device to an Aztec printer

What's Not Supported

  • Refund a payment that has been taken on a FreedomPay iServe device

  • Void a payment that has been taken on a FreedomPay iServe device.

  • Reverse a ‘CardPay’ payment

  • Take offline payments

  • Capture customer signature on screen

  • Print the bill from the Castle device printer

  • Provide cashback

  • Capture Donations

  • Take a card not present / MOTO transaction

Head Office Requirements

The following tasks should be completed to onboard to iServe Plus in conjunction with your Zonal Account Representative:

  • Creation of an Enhanced Security Key

  • Adding created key to the Global Configuration table in the Aztec HO Database

  • Adding service URL’s to the Global Configuration table

The process for UAT and Live is the same, the only difference is the environment that the Keys and the URLs point to

For customers who use the Data Bureau Service a request should to setup the new payment method can be sent by email:

The request, should specify the date the method is required by and the iServe theme it is to be applied to. The lead time for this request being completed is 3 days.

Additional Information

Support

Any issues with the All in One Devices should be raised via normal support channels to the Zonal Help Centre.

App Upgrades

Application upgrades follow the established path for iServe and customers will have new app deployments pushed to their All in One devices as soon as new updates are available.
